Mr. Hurley has over 25 years’ experience with community banking financial institutions. Prior to joining Sheshunoff, he was the Controller of a mid-size community bank in the Boston area where he was responsible for the Accounting function, investment portfolio management, cash management, and all SEC and other regulatory reporting. Earlier in Don’s career, he served several years in a variety of capacities in the Finance Division of a large regional bank. He left that position to join a regional public accounting firm specializing in financial institution audits. In his more than thirteen years with the firm, he conducted annual interim audits, prepared audit plans and led audit teams, created year-end financial statements, and conducted special projects, including fraud investigations, for banking clients throughout New England.
Don holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. He is also a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
